Man Beheads Two-Year-Old Baby Moments After Raping His Mother In Ogun State

Ogun State Police Command has arrested a middle aged man, for raping a woman and beheading her two year old boy in Ofada town in Obafemi/Owode local government area of the State.

The suspect,identified as ‎Mamodu Bashir Ibrahim, allegedly committed the crime after he had a carnal knowledge of the mother of the boy, while she detoured to ease herself in a bush in the town.

The suspect reportedly trailed the woman into the bush, pounced on her, despite the baby being tied to her back and dragged both into an uncompleted building.


Police believed the man raped the woman, then stabbed her. He was also alleged to have severed the boy's head.

It was gathered that someone who smelled a foul play, trailed the suspect and his captives into the building.

The suspect was said to have initially escaped. The woman was rescued. But the effort came too late for the boy. He was dead and his severed head had been taken away.

When he was arrested, the suspect led men from the Criminal Investigation Department,CID of the State Police Command to the scene to locate the head, but it could not be seen again.

Only the knife with which the suspect perpetrated the act was discovered at the scene.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Olumuyiwa Adejobi said the suspect was arrested through the help of some community leaders, who monitored him after he fled the area to Ibafo,a nearby community, immediately he committed the crime.‎

Adejobi added that further interrogation of the suspect revealed that he had sold the head of the boy to a woman in Ibadan,adding that the detectives from the State Police Command are on the trail of the buyer.

Speaking with journalists at the scene of the crime, which was filled with blood stains, the suspect confirmed he raped the woman, killed her son and severe his head which he claimed he threw away into the bush.‎

He also informed the detectives that he has an accomplice,who resides in Ibadan.‎
